Internationale waardering voor deze top Pinot Noir.
Lothian Vineyards Pinot Noir continues to succeed on the world stage.
Lothian Vineyards has earned a string of accolades for its Vineyard Selection Pinot Noir at the prestigious 2020 International Wine Challenge (IWC) for two separate vintages of this celebrated wine. The 2018 Lothian Pinot Noir achieved 95 points (Gold), the highest score at the competition for any Pinot Noir from South Africa, and it only shared this rare place on the podium with none other than the Lothian 2019 Pinot Noir.
This great achievement further reinforces the consistency of quality and established pedigree of Lothian as a leading producer of Burgundian varietals following the continued achievements for their highly collectable, small batches of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that have placed Lothian into the limelight as one of the country’s top producers.

The owner Gavin Wilson commented, “The great work from the team is creating a sense that Lothian delivers wines of distinction every year, from the hand that nature deals us. These wonderful moments, when our passion and effort is rewarded with such incredible results, fuel our energy and heighten the commitment to stay true to the course. With the vineyards coming into their prime, we believe it’s only through a series of small steps forward that we can craft memorable wines.”
Richard Kershaw MW and Dudley Wilson who have crafted the wines since 2016 noted "It is not often as a winemaker that one is privileged to be part of something truly great. The expressive terroir can only mean exciting things, combined with the knowledge that comes from each vintage, we feel we are closing in on the estates exceptional potential.”
