- Verdelho, Palomino, Chenin Blanc, Albariño and Fernão Pires
- wijnmaker: Stephanie Wiid : Khakibos is an un usual blend of Verdelho, Chenin blanc, Palomino and Fernão Pires. Our Verdelho is grown in koffieklip-rich soil, treasured for its free-draining quality, and found anchored on the foot slopes of the Helderberg Mountain. Our Chenin blanc is located in our exceptional Paarl vineyard, our Palomino grown in Piekenierskloof sandstone and Fernão Pires from the gravelly soils located along the Breede River.
- Tim Atkin: 95/100: Verdelho with four other drought resistant" varieties in the mix - Palomino, Chenin Blanc, Albariño and Fernão Pires - sourced from all over the Western Cape. The result is a thing of wonder, with steely precision, waxed lemon, apple and orange peel flavours and top notes of lanolin and thatch.
- Tim Atkin: Aimed at the by-the-glass market, this is the sort of thing you’d be very happy to find in a restaurant. Partnering Verdelho with 49% Chenin Blanc, Palomino, Albariño and FernãoPires, this is a seamless blend with subtle skin contact bitterness, citrus, pear, grapefruit andgreen fig flavours, racy minerality and a waxy undertone.
